Chicago Bars Downtown
63Which Chicago Bars you should hit in Downtown
Are you visiting Chicago and want to see where all the nightlife is? Well, I’m about to show you. I have ranked the areas that me and others local to Chicago LOVE.
1. Division and rush st.
There are a TON of bars on this street, probably around 10 on each side. No matter when you go, you will find a lively crowd. I went there Tuesday night and there were tons of people having fun. You can wear pretty much whatever you want. Drinks are fairly cheap and ATM machines are really close by. The LegRoom is a great place to start your bar hopping.
2. Hubard St.
This is another area with bars on both sides of the street, making it great for bar hopping. Although the bars are older, they get tons of traffic. Young people come to party as well as older professionals. A notable mention in this area is Rockit bar.
3. River North district.
This is the place where I live. My favorite place is actually a place called Martini Park on Erie and La Salle. This place is a little pricey and you might have to wait in line but its well worth it. They have 3 bars, really cool staff and a huge dance floor. Single guys, you are almost guaranteed to get attention from women here. Thursday nights are open karaoke nights for all. If you are game, all you have to do is write your name on a list by 8 PM.
4. Fancy Bars.
If you are looking for fancier hotel bars, I have two places to recommend. The first is Rebar located in the Trump hotel and tower. This place has a great energy to it. Drinks will be expensive and you will have to dress up. The second place you should visit is the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Observatory. The great thing about this place is its breath-taking views of Chicago. We had a table facing the Sears Tower last time and it was wonderful. Service is amazing although food and drinks can get pricey.
